Hi Painting Peeps!
My name is Cheryl Hughes and I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I began oil painting lessons at age 11 and was hooked. I went to school for commercial and fine art. I love to create and will paint just about anything that stands still.
I discovered I have a knack for teaching others to paint. I love introducing total newbies to painting. I teach baby step by baby step. Even if you've never held a paint brush I will hold your hand through the process. Please don't hesitate to jump in and try a class or project.
I also have an art membership called The Tinker's Cartists. We have a blast every month painting together and spreading our artistic wings. We open the membership twice a year. Check out the membership tab above for more info. and get on the waiting list. You'll be glad you did :-)
Join me for this 3 Day Virtual Paint Party!
For only $10.00 you get 3 nights of painting fun. If you can't make it no worries....the classes are recorded and you have unlimited access. You can paint at your own pace when it's convenient for you.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. If anyone is struggling with clouds, she breaks it down in easy little steps. In her tutorials she does everything for you except holding your paintbrush and making the stroke
Being a member of Tinker's Cart Art has been a great experience for me as a beginner painter. Since my enrollment I have progressed and learned many painting techniques. The classes are not just a regular tutorial but they are in zoom class setting interactive with the instructor so you are guided with every step. I love this group and recommend it without reservation.
I have to say that I enjoy painting with Tinker's Cart Artists and absolutely love the whimsical art. I have learned a lot from Cheryl and I enjoy displaying my art in my studio at home. If someone says they like one, I give it to them. I know that I can always go back and repaint one by using the tutorial. I even donated one of my Tree of Life paintings to a non profit I am a part of. That was fun. I paint what I want, when I want, in the palette I choose, and learn a lot from Cheryl. My granddaughter was even so impressed when we painted from a replay that Cheryl greeted me and answered my question during the initial class. Fun!
